Since I have lived in Chicago for the past three years and have loved all of the time that I have spent here, my opinion on this subject is probably pretty biased. That being said, I think Chicago is the best city in the United States, and even if you can’t come live here, I think that everyone should visit Chicago at least once (in all honesty, I think anyone would enjoy visiting Chicago on a regular basis).
Because I have lived in Chicago for a couple of years, I can give you some more advice if you decide that you are going to listen to me and take a trip to Chicago. In addition to making the obvious travel arrangements (booking a flight and reserving a hotel room), I also think it’s a very good idea to get a rental car. Since you can get a rental car online for a very low price, it’s a very inexpensive way to ensure that you get to experience and see everything that you want during your time in Chicago.
