Although it was actually quite unexpected, I am very happy that my cousin invited me to Chicago three months ago. The reason that I was happy about it is because I had a wonderful time while I was in Chicago with my cousin, and the reason that I was surprised by it was because it was the first time that I had visited my cousin in Chicago. Although we always spend the holidays together, our family gets together in a place other than Chicago, so it wasn’t a city that I had visited before.

Like I said, I was not expecting my cousin to invite me to come to Chicago, but as soon as she did, I promptly accepted her offer. I was lucky and found a good deal on a flight to Chicago, so I freed up my schedule and took the flight up there. I ended up staying in Chicago for a total of four and a half days, and I have to say that it was really cool getting to see the type of life that my cousin lives in Chicago. We have always been pretty close, but this experience definitely brought us even closer.
