Just last weekend, I completely surprised my girlfriend when I told her that we were renting a car and driving up to Chicago with each other to spend the weekend. She had no idea that I was planning anything like this (I honestly don’t know if she thought I was capable of planning something like this), so when I told her all of the plans I had made for us, she couldn’t stop telling me what a great boyfriend I was.

Even though I had all of our plans made, I was nervous that something was going to go wrong during our trip together. Fortunately, everything from renting the car to getting our hotel room went as planned, so we were able to avoid any problems and simply got to enjoy our short but extremely fun trip to Chicago.

The other great thing about this trip is that it was a huge boost for our relationship. I think that my girlfriend had been getting worried that I was losing interest in her and our relationship, but after getting to spend this time together, I think she realizes just how much I truly love her.
