If you are taking a trip to Chicago and want to know where the best places are to enjoy the nightlife of the city, here are some recommendations that will ensure you have a great time every night that you go out in Chicago:

The Bristol: Not only is this a bar, but it also serves some delicious food (beginning with brunch each day). However, even if you are just going here at night to drink, you owe it to yourself to at least try their duck fat fries (believe me, they are absolutely delicious). In case you do find your appetite kicking in when you visit the Bristol, other delicious choices to go with your beer or cocktail include monkey bread, apple salad, spiced olives, beer cheese spread, shrimptagliarini , cauliflower ravioli with capers, homemade nutter butters and even roasted bone marrow for those of you with a more exotic palate.

Bernice’s Tavern: If you enjoy visiting dive bars (especially when you are in a city other than your own), you owe it to yourself to spend at least one night at Bernice’s Tavern. While there are an endless amount of bars that are too crowded and too loud to have a conversation, this isn’t a problem that you are going to have at Bernice’s Tavern. If you find yourself in Chicago on a Thursday night, you can go here and enjoy open mic night.

Richard’s Bar: In addition to a great jukebox, if you enjoy smoking while you drink, you can buy a pack directly from the bar at Richard’s.
